Miss McCarthy was my 8th grade teacher back in 1962, She IS the best teacher I've ever had... I thought of her often over the years hoping that she was OK... RIP beautiful lady...

I am sad today. Miss McCarthy was my seventh and eighth grade math teacher at Saltonstall School and one of my favorite teachers. I lost touch of her and often wondered what happened. Now I know, she married and changed her name. She was inspirational, always available when I needed help with my math...and I needed help. My two brothers and sister had Miss McCarthy as our math teacher and we all thought she was the “best”. I’ll miss her.
