BEVERLY - Florence M. (Lynch) Anderson, 81, died Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the Beverly Hospital following a long illness. She was the wife of William T. Anderson for 61 years.
Born and raised in Boston, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Dooley) Lynch. She was a graduate of Brigham and Women's Hospital and was a resident of Beverly for over 50 years.
Mrs. Anderson had been employed with the Nursing Agency for many years and with St. Mary Star of the Sea School for five years. She retired in 2003 at the age of 67.
Mrs. Anderson was a dedicated wife and mother to her family and received great joy caring for them. She was proud of all their accomplishments. When she became a grandmother in 1988, she was extremely happy and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Anderson enjoyed tennis, swimming, walking and reading. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Beverly Farms.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Karen M. Anderson of Rowley and Margaret A. Leonard of Milton; two sons, William Anderson and his wife, Jill of Winchester, and Matthew Anderson and his wife, Nicole of Newcastle, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Laura Clark, Kristin Leonard, Andrew Leonard, Molly Anderson, Peter Anderson, Christopher Anderson and Emily Anderson; a sister, Margaret Sakakeeny of Belmont; four brothers, Charles O. Lynch of Stoughton, John Lynch of Lincoln, Robert Lynch of Mansfield and James Lynch of Westwood; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Christine M. Anderson.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret's Church, 672 Hale St., Beverly Farms, Saturday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday morning at St. Margaret's Church from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the Mass.
