Elizabeth Rose (Rex) Flint, of South Berwick, at the age of 90 passed away peacefully Tuesday morning of October 24, 2017 surrounded by her children at the home of her daughter Joy.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Lynn English High School and retired with many years of service with the New England Telephone Company. Elizabeth was known for her love of life, and adventure, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved the beach and visits to Foxwoods with her children and siblings.
Elizabeth “Betty” was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles S. Flint. She was also predeceased by her brother, Davis Rex in WWII, as well as her sister Barbara Tracy of Lynn.
She is survived by her children, Susan Costello of Hampton, N.H., Charles Flint Sr. and his wife, Ellen of Hampton, N.H., Joy Duggan and her husband, Keith of South Berwick, Maine. Elizabeth aka “Nan” leaves 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and cherished. She is also survived by her siblings, Florence Scribner of Peabody, James Rex and his wife, Patricia of Lynn, Avis Shea and her husband, Joe of Lynn.
A wake for Elizabeth will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017, from 3 to 6 p.m. at McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home located on 301 Main Street in South Berwick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
