Beverly - Elizabeth C. (Parsons) Caputo, 78, beloved wife of Peter Caputo, died Sunday, June 30, 2019, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Newburyport, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Eileen (Lynch) Parsons.
Mrs. Caputo and her husband owned and operated Peter Anthony's Hair Salon in North Beverly since 1965. Prior to her marriage, she had owned a salon in Rowley.
A longtime resident of Beverly, Mrs. Caputo loved to take care of her house and garden. She was a wonderful cook as well as an accomplished artist. She was also a 27-year member of the Beverly Recreation Commission. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
The Caputo family would like to thank Care Dimensions and the Kaplan Hospice House staff for their excellent care and support during her illness.
In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage, she is survived by two daughters, Angela Manzi of Danvers and Erin Rushton and her husband, Elliott of Beverly; four grandchildren, Olivia and Brett Manzi and Elizabeth and John Rushton; and a sister, Andrea Silva of Maine. She was also the sister of the late Jane McKinney.
Her funeral service will be held graveside, at the Annunciation Cemetery, 155 Hobart Street, Danvers, Friday, July 12, 2019, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
