Elaine's Story

TOPSFIELD - Elaine (Tsigardias) Patrinos, 88, beloved wife of the late Dr. Chris G. Patrinos, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. Born in Dudley, she was the daughter of the late Stergios
and Panagiota "Mary" (Keriazes) Tsigardias.
Elaine graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster, in 1946. Upon her high school graduation, Elaine attended the nursing program at Memorial Hospital in Worcester where she worked as a registered nurse for over 15 years. Elaine was an avid tennis player and a former member of the Beach Club in Swampscott. She spent many years fundraising for the Scleroderma Foundation in Danvers, and was an active member in the community at the Villages at Great Hill in Topsfield for 22 years. Elaine was a physical fitness enthusiast throughout her life and even participated in two Zumba classes a week and a walking group up until her death. Elaine's family was very important to her and she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by her son, George S. and Wendy Patrinos of Dudley; her daughter, Penny K. and Chris Frangos of Beverly; her sister, Maria Econome of Dudley; five grandchildren, Sara, Chris and Eric Patrinos, Kristina and Michaela Frangos; one great grandson Jameson, and her niece, Lynn Meltzer of Framingham. Elaine is predeceased by her brother, Ted Tsigaridas.
A funeral service will be celebrated at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Church, 8 Lafayette Road, Ipswich, on Saturday, December 23rd at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Friday, December 22nd, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Elaine's Memory to the Scleroderma Foundation at scleroderma.org.
