Danvers - Edward A. Sullivan, 90, died early Tuesday morning, August 13, 2019, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the loving husband of Phyllis (Hennessey) Sullivan, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in Newburyport on April 26, 1929, he was the son of the late John and Marion (Guerette) Sullivan, he was raised and educated there and was a 1947 graduate of Newburyport High School. He then served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He had been a Danvers resident for over 60 years.

A graduate of the Franklin Institute of Boston, Mr. Sullivan was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers until the time of his retirement.

A communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church and Knights of Columbus Thomas E. Power Council #1505, he was active in the Riverside Squares, volunteering with the Boy Scouts and Danvers American Little League, playing golf, and traveling with his wife. He was a Danvers Town Meeting member for many years.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, James Sullivan of Texas and Neal Sullivan of New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Jessie, Caitlin, Carol, and Daniel; and a great-granddaughter, Erin. He was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Sullivan Crean.

His funeral service will be Friday, August 16, 2019, at 11 a.m., in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Newburyport. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Sullivan's memory may be made to Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers, MA 01923.
