Edward P.'s Story
Beverly - Edward P. Karish, 81, beloved husband of the late Mona T. (Boyd) Karish, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, April 13, 2018, the tenth anniversary of his late wife’s death.
Born and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mary (Powers) Karish. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Northeastern University in Boston, and continued there to earn a master’s degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Karish had been employed for 35 years as a Senior Chemical Engineer for the General Electric Company in Lynn until the time of his retirement. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and the Elphin Club at G.E.
A resident of Beverly for the past 48 years, Ed was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving him are two daughters, Elizabeth Powers of Peabody, and Sarah Karish Marshall and her husband, John of Stoneham; a son, Edward B. Karish had his wife, Antonette of Waltham; five grandchildren, Eddie and Ashley Karish and Samantha, Theresa and Ethan Marshall; a brother, Robert Karish of Lynn; a sister-in-law, Mary Broll and her husband, Frank of Needham; and Ed’s dear friend, Peggy Davis of Beverly.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, 672 Hale Street, Beverly Farms, Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
