ESCALON, CA - On February 7, 2018, Edward Manuel Faustino, 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Escalon, Calif. Born in Graciosa, Acores, on June 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Manuel and Teadora Faustino. During his childhood, he immigrated to Peabody, Mass., where he lived until moving to California in 1973. For over 45 years, Ed worked as a master carpenter. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, three children, two grandchildren, and his sister. He was predeceased by his parents and brother.
Ed will be remembered as a man of few words who lived life on his own terms. He enjoyed spending time on his farm and going to the livestock auctions. Ed was never happier than when he was in Graciosa, Acores.
The family is grateful to the nurses of Community Hospice of Modesto for the loving care, attention, and support provided through this journey. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Edward Faustino to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356. In accordance with Ed's wishes, a private burial will be held at a later date.
A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh Ave., Peabody, MA, on Saturday, Feburary 17, 2018, at 5 p.m.
