Dorothy A. "Dolly" (Prescott)'s Story
Mrs. Dorothy A. “Dolly” (Prescott) Pennell 73, of Danvers, formerly of Salem and Middleton, beloved wife of the late Walter Pennell, died August 7, 2017 at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Barbara (Armstrong) Prescott. She was raised and educated in Middleton and attended both Salem High School and Masconomet Regional High School.
Mrs. Pennell had been employed as a Nurse’s Aide for many years at the New England Home for the Deaf until the time of her retirement.
Dorothy was a long-time resident of the town of Middleton and more recently had lived in Salem and Danvers. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she enjoyed spending her time bowling, boating and fishing. She will be deeply missed.
Dolly is survived by her daughters, Janice Dupuis of Salem, Debra Webster of Manchester, N.H., Marcia Haskell of Marblehead and Audrey Tripousis of Sanford, Maine, her sons, Michael G. Pennell and his wife, Susan of Haverhill and Barry Fortin of Chelmsford, her 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, her sister, Donna Campbell of Middleton, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Earl and Lawrence Prescott.
Her funeral services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers.
