Donna Stanton, 72, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly from Beverly, Mass., passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, under the loving care of Treasure Coast Hospice after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Stanton, of 31 years; son, David Stanton; daughters, Teann DeMarco, Carla DeMarco, Sharon Stanton, Jennifer Harvey, and Amy Murgida; as well as her Aunt Eileen Day and Uncle Carl Day. She leaves behind 12 loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Donna was predeceased by her mother, Marion (Day) Harding, and her father, Donald Lantz, a WWII veteran who was killed in action. In 2002 she retired from Massachusetts Department of Employment Services and then relocated to Port St. Lucie Florida. Donna enjoyed shopping, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a huge animal lover and spent her time feeding the local animals where she lived. She volunteered helping others that needed help and at a local charity. Going out with the girls was a weekly venture keeping friends close and near to her heart. Her biggest love was being with her family for the holidays and helping those in need. In lieu of flowers, as there are no Formal services, please donate to Treasure Coast Hospice or St. Jude Children Hospital in Donna’s name.
