Despina (Tsamouridis)'s Story
Despina Fetfatsidis, 89, beloved wife of George Fetfatsidis, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the North Shore Medical Center—Salem Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born in Sampsouski, Russia, she was the daughter of the late Konstantine and Maria (Tatamidis) Tsamouridis. She grew up in Drama, Greece and lived in Turkey before moving to the United States 47 years ago, where she lived mostly in Peabody.
She was active at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody.
She is survived by her husband, George Fetfatsidis of Peabody; a daughter, Elizabeth Nash of Peabody; a son, Konstantine “Charlie” Fetfatsidis of Greece; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody.
