SALEM - David B. Weiner, 85, of Salem, formerly of Chelsea and Revere, entered into rest on Saturday, March 3, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Josephine (Mongiello) Weiner for 54 years before her passing in 2008. Mr. Weiner was born in Chelsea, son of the late Herman and Frances (Shapiro) Weiner. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cheryl Gideon and her husband Brian; and his son, Robert Weiner and his wife Janet; cherished granddaughter, Alicia Sarro; loving brother-in-law, Richard Mongiello; and sister-in-law Mary Mongiello; dear niece Rachel Finn and her husband Martin; and nephew, Matthew Finn. He was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Weiner. A funeral service for Mr. Weiner will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem, MA 01970. The family will greet friends at Stanetsky-Hymanson Chapel from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett, MA.
