David G. Earle
Born in Melrose, August 18, 1952, he was the son of the late Herman C. Earle and Virginia (Beresford) Earle Elderbaum. He was the youngest of 6 children. Raised and educated in Beverly, he graduated from the John H. Patton Vocational School, Class of 1972.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Airforce retiring in 1977.
He worked in his father’s business, Lynn Fryer in Peabody and then as a Finish Carpenter for many years prior to the time of his retirement in 2008.
Mr. Earle was a ham radio operator and enjoyed talking to people all over the world. He was a member of the Bass Haven Yacht Club in Beverly and enjoyed fishing and whale watching. Dave was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Donna (Santos) Earle of Beverly, his son, David M. Earle and his wife Theresa, his grandchildren, Kaelyn and Devin Earle, all of Henniker, N.H., his sister, Judith Hatchard of New Jersey, his brother, Charles Earle of North Caroline, his mother-in-law, Muriel Santos of Salem, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Dennis Santos of Peabody, Lori and Erle Soper of Salem and Kim and Jack Bochynski of Peabody, his aunt and uncle-in-law, Agnes and Arthur LeBlanc of Lynn and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Tuesday, Feb. 12th at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Monday, Feb. 11th from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in David’s memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
