Clarence "Leonard" Tribou passed away peacefully on the morning of January 4, with his family by his side. Leonard was born and raised in Beverly, MA to his mother Eva Courchene and his father Clarence Tribou.
Leonard attended Beverly schools where he graduated from Beverly High School and later enlisted in the Navy in October 1942. After he returned home, he met the love of his life, Pauline Rizzotti, where they were happily married for 65 years.
Throughout his life, Leonard spent his time with his wife as they would travel to New Hampshire together every summer as their nieces and nephews would visit them there. Leonard's interests included collecting antiques and trinkets that were of value to him as well as spending time with his cat Gladys.
Leonard leaves behind: brother-in-law Ted Urbanski and wife Mary, brother-in-law Sam Rizzotti and wife Deloris, his brother-in-law Joe O'Donnell, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Leonard is predeceased by his sister Dorothy Joiner and her husband Edward.
Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday January 9, at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St., Salem, MA, from 4 to 6 p.m., Funeral services will begin Wednesday January 10, at the Murphy Funeral Home at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Spectrum Adult Day Care, 600 Cummings Center, Suite 176, Beverly, MA 01915.
