Claire E. (Gagne)'s Story
Mrs. Claire E. (Gagne) Nawrocki, 78, of Peabody, beloved wife of Stanley J. Nawrocki, died Friday, June 23, 2017, at Essex Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Beverly surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Imelda (Pelletier) Gagne. Raised and educated in Salem she attended St. Anne’s Grammar School, Marion Court and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School.
Mrs. Nawrocki had been employed as a Legal Secretary in the Law Office of Stephen Walsh for several years.
A longtime resident of the City of Peabody, Claire was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a member of their Choir for many years. She and Stanley were members of the Polish, American, Russian,Lithuanian Club of Danvers where they enjoyed socializing with their friends.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Claire enjoyed sewing and honed her craft by taking classes at Essex Aggie. She had a flair for decorating and made many of her own home furnishings and was quite proud of her needle point.Above all Claire was most proud and devoted to her family, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and participating in their many activities, she will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband, Stanley, Claire is survived by her two daughters, Michele Gerasimowicz and her husband, James of Salem, Cynthia Budrow and her husband, Bryce of Salem, her two grandchildren, Samantha Gerasimowicz and Evan Budrow; a brother, Ronald Gagne and his wife, Lucille of Methuen, and a sister, Patricia Goodridge of Florida. She was also the sister of the late Robert and Gerard Gagne, Theresa Lajoie and Irene Richard.
Her funeral will be held from The O’Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq. (at Salem Common) Salem on Friday June 30th at 9 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Margin St., Peabody at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
