Cheryl Ann O'Neil

Danvers - Cheryl Ann “Cheri” O’Neil, 70, of Danvers, formerly of Wenham, passed away Wednesday morning, June 6, 2018 at Beverly Hospital in Beverly. Born in Gloucester, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Shirley M. (Peters) O’Neil. Cheri was a 1965 graduate of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School and furthered her education at Burdett College in Boston.
Cheri had been employed as a controller in the family business for many years. She was an active member of the Brightview community, bringing sunshine and light to everyone she met, a friend to all, loyal and true.
She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 194 in Hamilton.
Surviving her is one sister, Mary E. O’Neil and her partner, Anthony of South Hamilton; three brothers, Michael P. O’Neil and his partner, Maria of West Palm Beach, Fla., James J. O’Neil and his wife, Michele of Essex and Timothy S. O’Neil of Amesbury and several nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Christopher, Timothy, Taylor, Eileen, Brittany, Timothy, Paul, Daniel, Joseph and Lucas. Also surviving her are three step-children, Denise, Sharon and David, and two step-grandchildren, Chris and Jason.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Paul, 50 Union Street, Hamilton on Monday, June 11, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be held at Wenham Cemetery on Tuesday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Sunday, June 10, 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheri’s name may be donated to The American Legion Post, 37 School Street, Hamilton, MA 01982.
