Catherine's Story

BEVERLY - Catherine (Coffey) Morse 89, beloved wife of the late Carl Morse Jr., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Hawthorne Hill Health Care Center in Danvers.
Born and raised in Arlington, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Morrissey) Coffey. She received her education in the Arlington school system and graduated from Arlington High School, Class of 1947.
Mrs. Morse had been employed for many years in banking administration until the time of her retirement.
A resident of Beverly since the 1950s, living in two homes built by her husband over the years, Mrs. Morse enjoyed visits to Lynch Park and the beaches in Beverly and spent many years vacationing in Bar Harbor Maine. She had a love for flowers, traveling and most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Morse's family wish to extend their gratitude to the staff at Ocean View in Beverly, Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation Center in Danvers and Compassus Hospice of North Andover for their care and compassion over the past few years.
She is survived by her son, Glen Morse and his wife, Justine of Beverly; daughter, Ellen Carlson and her husband, Richard of Oxnard, Calif.; four grandchildren, Ryan Morse, Kristen Morse, Jennifer Williams and Ben Carlson; and a sister, Patricia Collins of Manchester, N.H. She was also the sister of the late Stephen Coffey Jr.
Her funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial in Central Cemetery, Beverly.
