Carole (Pappadopoulos) Speliotis Danvers - Mrs. Carole (Pappadopoulos) Speliotis, 92, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Charles J. Speliotis, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Hathorne Hill Healthcare in Danvers, surrounded by her family.
Born in Fitchburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Demitropoulos) Pappadopoulos. Raised and educated in Cambridge, she was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. She continued her education in cosmetology school earning her Professional Licensure in Hairdressing.
As a young woman, Mrs. Speliotis was the proprietor of her own beauty parlor in Cambridge until the time of her marriage. She moved to Danvers as a young married woman to start her family and plant family roots that would last for generations. While raising her children, she was employed at HotWatt in Danvers for over 30 years as a Supervisor and was dedicated to her profession.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carole loved her family first and foremost. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them and relished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She showed her love in many ways and would often prepare feasts and delicacies for her family to share. Her delicious creations were always filled with love. She was an avid reader and loved classic movies and was a dedicated, long-time member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hathorne Hill for the kindness and care they showed to Carole during her stay.
Carole is survived by her sons, Massachusetts House of Representatives member, Theodore Speliotis and his wife June of Danvers, and James Speliotis and his wife Laura, proprietors of Danvers House of Pizza of Danvers; her daughters, Debbie Drummond and her husband Daniel of Petaluma, Calif., and Sharon Gould and her husband, Peabody City Councilman, Thomas of Peabody; her eight grandchildren, Pia Freeley and her husband Matthew, Ashley Speliotis, Kailee Speliotis, Alexandria Speliotis, Daniel Adamski and his wife Jennifer, KC Adamski, Cortney Hurley and her husband Gregg, and Michael Gould, her five great-grandchildren, Kasey, Allison, Kayla, Theodore, and Quinn; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen Agganis, Mary Mallas, and Theodore, Arthur, Peter, and Nicholas Pappadopoulos.

Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Route 62), Danvers, Friday, Nov 2, at 12:30 p.m., followed by her funeral service in St. Vasilios’s Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, at 1:30 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, Nov. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Carole’s memory to the St. Vasilios Church Alter Fund, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960, or to the Carroll Center for the Blind, 770 Centre St., Newton, MA 02458.
