Carol (Timson) (Moore) Hess passed away after a lengthy illness at Sutton Hill Nursing Home on November 16 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Salem, Mass., on September 29, 1939, to Dolores (Blute) Timson and Melvin Timson. She was the oldest of seven children and is survived by sisters, Sylvia, Terry, and Marcia, and brothers, Alan and Norman, all of Danvers, Mass. Carol had three children -- daughter, Kathleen Pierce and son-in-law, Fletcher Pierce of Henderson, Nev.; daughter, Laurice Canning and son-in-law, Allen Canning of Groveland, Mass.; son, Timothy Moore and daughter-in-law, Karen Moore of Merrimack, N.H.
Carol was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Samantha Pelletier of Montana, Kyle Pelletier of Nashua, N.H., April Patterson of Salem, N.H., Hunter Canning of Groveland, Mass., Haley Moore of Bedford, N.H., and Teagan Canning of Groveland, Mass.
Carol attended Danvers High School and worked at her uncle Lloyd’s Pharmacy in Danvers during that period of her life. Carol attended college at Carnegie Institute in Boston. She enjoyed working as a lab technician until she married and had her family. Carol raised her family in Plymouth, Mass., where she was very active in her children’s school as well as her church.
Carol later moved closer to her family in Danvers and worked at GE Sylvania while raising her family. In her later life, she worked as a secretary for the Department of Defense after she married Robert Hess in 1986.
Once she retired and Robert passed away, she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.
