Brian Barry, age 52 years, of Manchester, N.H., formerly of Beverly, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H. He was the loving companion of 12 years to Linda Engdahl.
Born in Beverly, he was the dear son of the late Joseph and Phyllis (Egan) Barry. Brian was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School.
Mr. Barry had been employed in the shipping and receiving department for Delta Electronics for 29 years.
Brian was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed playing softball and golfing. He was a big Notre Dame and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was truly a great guy, who enjoyed cracking jokes and was extremely funny.
In addition to his companion, he is survived by his step-daughter, Kim Damon of Peabody; two step-sons, Joshua Engdahl and Justin Engdahl, both of Salem; one brother, James Barry of Beverly; three nieces, Rose Barry and Rachael Barry, both of Beverly and Jessica Barry of Texas; and many dear friends. He was also the brother of the late Joseph Barry.
Brian’s funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
