Brenda (Flanagan) Frangos, 81, beloved wife of the late Charles W. Frangos, former co-owner of the Commodore Restaurant in Beverly, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Beverly Hospital.
Born and raised in Liverpool, England, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Sullivan) Flanagan. She was raised in Liverpool, England before moving to the United States at 22, with her friend, Elsie Lord Luongo. As a longtime resident of Beverly, she was a loving mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, neighbor and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted and loving daughter, Cassandra Frangos; her siblings, Pat Morton, Sadie Atkinson, and Brian Flanagan; cousin, Bernard Flanagan; Goddaughter Geraldine Lavelle; as well as many beloved members of the Frangos and Flanagan families. Her siblings Billy, Nellie, and Vera predecease her. She will also be missed by her “Joy” – a loving Pekinese-poodle that brought a smile to her face every day.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Central Cemetery, Beverly.
