Bonnie J.'s Story
TOPSFIELD Mrs. Bonnie J. (Thomson) Weigand, 84, of Danvers, formerly of Topsfield, beloved wife of the late Dudley W. Wiegand died peacefully, January 17, 2018 at Putnam Farm.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Maus) Thomson. She was a life long learner and earned her Masters Degree in counseling.
Mrs. Wiegand had been employed as an educator for many years, teaching Home Economics at Swampscott High School.
A longtime resident of the Town of Topsfield, Bonnie enjoyed traveling, gardening and music. Often playing showtunes and classical pieces on her piano with her husband who played the organ. She especially enjoyed her summers at Lake Wentworth in New Hampshire. In her later years she faithfully volunteered at the Box-Top Shop, working, socializing and making many new friends.
Bonnie is survived by her sister, Daryl Greenberg of Chevy Chase, Maryland, her brother-in-law, Allen Wiegand of Fort Townsend, Washington, a niece, Pamela Beth Greenberg of Falls Church, Virginia and a nephew, Roger A. Greenberg of Hayward Hills, California.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services will be held at a later date and announced. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-ODonnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Bonnies memory to the Box-Top Shop, 7 School St., Topsfield, MA 01983.
