Barbara P. Reidy
Barb's adventures hiking and skiing took her to the highest peaks where the slopes were steep and the powder deep. In May, when the desert was in full bloom, Barb headed for Moab exploring the trails and red rocks of Canyonlands, camping under the stars at Indian Creek. Rafting and riding the rapids of the Colorado with longtime friends was the thrill of a lifetime, "Better than any amusement park ride could ever be."
When back on the east coast, Barb walked the beach for miles picking up shells and an occasional piece of driftwood to bring home and place on her shelf with other collected trinkets.
Barb was also a loyal sports fan, always rooting for the Bruins, Patriots, or the champion Red Sox. Wearing her pink hat or New England t-shirt always seemed to bring good luck to her favorite team.
Throughout her life, Barb showed true compassion and love to all her friends and the pets that filled her life with joy. Her cat Sweetie traveled cross country from Salt Lake to Ipswich, and her beloved dog Dally was forever in her heart.
We will always cherish fond memories of family gatherings, parties, and weddings where Barb danced the night away with a big smile on her face. Our little sister Barbie never gave up her enthusiasm for life and her spirit was lifted by the love and encouragement given by family and friends, both old and new, who embraced her during her time of need.
To honor our sister, a celebration of her life will be held early in May.
