Anthony Francis Pietrogallo
June 08, 1924 - December 05, 2017
Born in Swampscott, he was the son of the late Frank and Teresa (Facciuto) Pietrogallo. He was raised and educated in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School. He continued his education at business school following his service to his country.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He fought for his country in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe and was awarded medals for valor. He was extremely proud of his service to his country.
Mr. Pietrogallo had been employed as a building contractor and carpenter working for many years as a sub-contractor for large construction companies until the time of his retirement.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Anthony was devoted to his faith, family and country. He will be deeply missed.
Anthony is survived by his son, Robert F. Pietrogallo and his wife Robin of Salem, his grandchildren, Jamie Lyn Pietrogallo and Jeffrey Pietrogallo both of Salem and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Louis Pietrogallo.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral which will be held from the Peterson-ODonnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Monday, Dec. 11th at 9 A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, 26 Bessom St., Lynn at 11 A.M. Burial in Swampscott Cemetery, Swampscott. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Anthonys memory to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
