BEVERLY - Annamarie S. (Fiorini) Semple, 70, beloved wife of Alfred J. Semple Jr., died Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the Beverly Hospital, following a long illness.
Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Susan (Demala) Fiorini. She graduated from Beverly High School, class of 1965, and earned her diploma as a registered nurse from the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1969.
Mrs. Semple had dedicated many years to her career as registered nurse at the Beverly Hospital until the time of her retirement in 2004. She was known to many for her care and compassion in her profession and was a member of the B.H.S.N.A.
A lifelong resident of Beverly, Anna was an avid beach goer and also enjoyed trips with her close friends (J.J.A.M) to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage, she is survived by her son, Andrew M. Semple, of Beverly, and his fiancé, Marion Wedge, of Chelsea; her daughter, Amy M. Semple, of Beverly; three grandchildren, Andrew, Amelia, and Alexander; two brothers, Albert J. Fiorini Jr., of Newport Beach, Calif., and Dr. Richard C. Fiorini, and his wife, Cindy, of Duxbury; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends, including Marion Rafter, Jimmy Manzi, and Sister Madeline Carrabino, SND. She was also the mother of the late Joey Semple.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly, Friday, February 16, 2018, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
