SALEM - Mrs. Alba (Migliaccio) Petrucci, 91, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Enrico Petrucci, died Saturday, January 6, 2018, at her home.
Born in Salem on January 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Anna (Dimeglio) Migliaccio She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1945.
Mrs. Petrucci began her professional career with the former Pequot Mills in Salem. She matriculated to G.T.E. Sylvania and worked for over 42 years as an assembler until the time of her retirement in 1989.
A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, Alba was a long-time dedicated member of the former St. Mary's Italian Church in Salem and a member of the St. Mary's Italian Church Ladies Sodality. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Sylvania and enjoyed spending her time knitting and gardening. She was devoted to her husband and sister and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.
Alba is survived by her sister, Agia Migliaccio of Salem; her step-daughter, Lisa Hill and her husband, Michael of Tewksbury; her grandchildren, James, Theresa and Jason Hill and Jared and Elizabeth Petrucci; her great-grandchild, Gianni Valente; her dear friend and caregivers, Angel Chase Randall and Charles Randall of Boxford, their son, Brian O'Neil and his wife, Amy of Amesbury; her special friend and devoted caregiver, Christopher DeLand and his wife, Katrina of Danvers, and their daughter, Josie; and her many friends including Mary Milton who was always so kind to her. She was the step-mother of the late Bruce and Christopher Petrucci.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Thursday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
