Alan C.'s Story
Alan Beveridge 72, of Danvers, passed away Sunday morning, September 24, in the comfort of his home. He was a devoted husband of the late Christine Beveridge.
His outgoing personality and ability to always put others first before himself are just some of the positive attributes that will be missed by all who knew him. Born and raised in Peabody, he was a graduate of Peabody High, Class of 1963.
Al met and married his wife whom he spent 45 amazing years with, residing in the town of Danvers and raising three children, while employed at General Electric. At GE he worked his way up to the position of planner and retired after 30 years of service. Alan enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going to his favorite places to eat, such as Chuck's or Dube's. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Alan is survived by his son, Brad and his wife, Lisa Beveridge of Mirror Lake, N.H.; two grandsons, Austin Beveridge of Burlington, Vt., and Blake Storm of Danvers who was raised by Al and Chris and whom they looked upon as their son; a sister, Chris Gissel and her husband, Gordon of North Hampton, N.H.; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Alan was predeceased by his loving wife, Christine Beveridge. He was the son of the late Robert and Marie Beveridge, father of the late Laura Beveridge, and brother of the late Jimmy Beveridge. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his many family, friends and neighbors for being such a big part of his life. Kindly consider a donation in his memory to the National Parkinson's Foundation, and to the continued support of Chuck's Restaurant in Danvers.
